Well to put some wanker perspective on this topic, I flew with one of our Aussie hired visa kids that was out of status and could not leave the US because immigration would not let him back into the US. So Atlas managements solution was to build him (a 747 pilot) a US domestic only schedule, month after month after month, while the rest of us schmucks drag our butts around the globe. So yes.... His change of status was due to waiting for a green card. This person was originally on an E3 you are right. That is something that can't be avoided
I just hope the person was grateful for Atlas accommodating them like that.
