From my interview in the ancient past, it was 5/8. Of the three that didn’t get a CJO, there was:
1. “Green suit guy”. (Look at me! I’m a special snowflake)
2. “Ten Minute or longer answer guy” (poor prep-Rambling Man..let them know how much fun I am…yeah!)
3. “Crazy guy” (didn’t treat the shrink part like the regular interview)
Professional level prep that costs time, money, and effort would’ve fixed these. Interviewing is a learnable skill. Pay a pro and learn how to hold it together for a couple of hours. We really don’t do a good job objectively evaluating ourselves.
When I interviewed (a decade ago) the interview prep was invaluable. It wasn't teaching me programmed answers to regurgitate - it was teaching me how to shape my experience and knowledge into a better answer. One that was more detailed and answered the question better. I highly, highly recommend paying for airline interview prep before a major airline interview.
