I don’t know how the woman came to that decision either, but it is not an inherently irrational decision. Being on the frontline for this, she may have ALREADY HAD COVID, and now recovered and reviewing the literature, realizes that she now has a more complete and long lasting immunity than you or I have from the two shots we both took. Its not a one-size-fits-all world. The UK vaccine policy body just turned down making a recommendation for routine COVID immunizations for those under 15 because their risk of death due to COVID simply didn’t justify it, particularly with the risk of myocarditis in young males from the Pfizer vaccine.
it isn’t a one size fits all world. We need to be a little more nuanced than knuckle dragging proVax and knuckle dragging antiVax.
You missed the point and just want to argue. I was 15. I wanted the job and a “nurse” at the retirement home told me they needed to stick me with something if I wanted the job. I’m sure my parents must’ve signed something to allow it but I don’t remember but if I didn’t want to get poked i could’ve worked at the grocery store instead. I chose to get the needle bc a hot girl I liked worked at the retirement home already. Made it to second base w her eventually so I viewed it as worth it and still do.
I wasn’t criticizing your nurse friend for quitting. I asked why? You said she’s your friend so I assumed you might know why. To me this job has a lot more value than to quit over a vaccine millions of people have had. I was interested in her rationale because I like to hear another point of view. I’m all for people not getting a shot if they don’t want to but to put your entire livelihood on the line takes balls and that’s someone’s point of view I’d like to hear.
