If you’re not a minority, unfortunately unless you’ve done a prior internship with UAL I’d say you’ll need to prove yourself slightly more. Lol! Honestly, I was born in Africa, and I was a minority, but I cannot identify as non-white. LOL! Either way, UA has always been my goal airline. I have been told I have a great application, but so do thousands more. I will continue to fight the fight. I commute a ton on UA jumpseats, and I have enjoyed every moment, and have had great conversations with the crews. It's the place I want to be.
