(I’ve never heard this theory before, which makes me think you got it from Tucker Carlson or the internet’s conspiracy theory peddling propagandist du jour.) The reality is, I don’t know how those dots connect & neither do you, but they far from prove anything.
We seem to both be in agreement that vaccines save lives, and therefore mandates would by extension do the same. The question, then- the only question- is whether those lives justify the imposition to the individual of a vaccine mandate. All this talk about Joey Bribes is just a distraction.
Case in point, your example of Nancy Pelosi & AOC. I’m assuming you don’t take their opinions as authoritative on matters of science. If they wore masks religiously, it wouldn’t convince you that masks were important, so if they wear masks inconsistently, that also shouldn’t convince you that masks are unimportant. Their hypocrisy tells us nothing other than that they are hypocrites; which really doesn’t help us make decisions on the value or ethics of a vaccine mandate. Your personal feelings on AOC, Joe Biden, Rand Paul, or MTG are as irrelevant as mine.
I mostly agree with your last point. The point I’m trying to make is that the ones that tell us to be fearful the most are not scared one bit themselves. They don’t take it as seriously as they want us to take it. I could forgive them if they forgot a mask here and there, but when they only follow the rules when they think the cameras are on, it shows me that their true feelings and what they portray to the public are two different worlds.
And you’re right. There is no proof Joey Bribes is paid off… this time. I never said it was certain. I said it was a guess given some of the decisions he’s made and advocated for. Currently, there really is no other explanation. His history as Vice President and some of his current policies make it look pretty suspicious. Even vaccine mandate aside. Yes, neither one of us know how to connect the dots as you say, but when you look at it from a financial perspective it starts to make a lot more sense. Maybe I’m wrong, but right now there is nothing else that seems likely.
That’s not really a dig specifically only at Joey. Politicians have been in big pharmas pocket for eternity. Both left and right. That’s why we have the most corrupt and expensive healthcare system in the world and unfortunately I don’t think that will ever change. Up until 2020 everyone was in agreement on this. But for the last year and a half some people now believe big pharma has had a change of heart and is strictly looking out for the common good regardless of profits. Although, I don’t see anything threatening their profits anytime soon.
