You are correct. I don’t want to be tired all the time, gone for long periods of time, and commuting just to have a bigger paycheck. I’ve seen what it’s done to my dad’s friends later in life especially because I can’t sleep on a plane. For me it’s QOL > pay. Spending 8-14 hours in a jet ain’t it.

The weird thing about some pilots is that someone can make 250k a year and they think thats a failure because he could make 350k a year by doing x, y or z.
The way I see it is if I make 250k a year and am happy, I couldn't really care less about anything else.
