NO! YOU guys and gals up in the chain of command need to hire and maintain manning for ANY crisis in order to deliver the purple promise you’re so proud of…WITHOUT input from those of us that shoot CAT III approaches on a worldwide daily basis.
Its the same issue with the MD…God forbid someone crashes another one and ICAO say no mas MD aqui! While other freight carriers fail, we need to flip a switch and tell the stock holders we, FDX see no loss in lift because we executed plan B. BUT, FDX has chosen to run lean to save money and not run a bit fat to absorb a detrimental system change. I have no sympathy.
Agree. Management is pathetic in all areas in regards to staffing. Not just pilots. The earnings call validated this and the stock price drop shows it. The labor force has been worked to the bone to make up for poor management. The money though for all workers has been good. Pilots have had some record setting W2's in all fleets/seats. The short staffing most definitely has been a windfall for many pilots. We have that to take away as a positive. Just remember when we are properly staffed again to get ready to complain about no AVA, Draft, Vacation Buy Back...........
