Maybe it can, maybe it can't. I can't control it. I will say that UAL is hiring 48 per week...don't know if they can keep up that torrid pace. At least management seems to recognize the dilemma, which is at least a step in the right direction.. The rapid rise in seniority % is a huge benefit for those close to the bottom. Depending on a/c purchases, only marginally beneficial for more senior types.
United didn’t sideline 1700 pilots after retiring 1900 others thus forcing a colossal training churn they they only started to work on un doing after demand was already back…
It’s not that we can’t train 200/month, it’s that we cant do that on top of retraining the rest of the airline to be where they should have been 9 months ago.
the reason United is able to hire so much now is they didn’t waste all their training resources trying to keep an FA union off property. But ya know, optics and all
