A failure within 5 years won't get you anywhere outside of a Regional, particularly if that failure was in a 121/135.
I'm not sure why you put "aren't good enough at Spirit" in your comment, and then equate a checkride failure within 5 years to a "hiccup" as to why you are not getting an interview.
So anything within 5 years is a no go? Seems like a lot of people on here told me that’s not true. And yes I do think it’s overkill. Probably half the people at my airline have something within 5 years that happened there.
First of all I don’t have any simulator checkride failures. One was a new hire oral exam. And the other was a line check over a medical certificate as was mentioned earlier.
But I guess the part I wanna know is what happened to the “just explain it in the interview” part?
