FltOps Management has stated on multiple occasions, as recently as just over a week ago, that the plan there is to narrow down to 80 crews by summer 2022 via not backfilling vacancies. However, this AE has a projected size of 149 B's. I don't think CR is talking to FltOps, and Network probably isn't talking to either of them.
Which is hella annoying, because the answer could affect years of my life. I'm happy staying on the fleet if my seniority keeps going up, but if it's going to be death-by-stagnation, I'm jumping ship and taking on a seat lock. I thought I knew what the answer was until this came up. I'm not sure even CR knows what they're going to do there.

After reading the CR Monthly update, it looks like SLC will be the "filler" base. They'll size NYC and SEA appropriately as they think they need, then stuff the rest into SLC, expanding and contracting as needed based on Network's needs. Plus leave a bunch of open spots to support significant new-hire goals. So I guess the best answer to the question is "who the heck knows", but if the base is all you care about and you don't care about aircraft, personally, I'd take the 73N. But I don't think it'll matter much in the end.
