My sim partner along with about 10 others in class also did not pass so I guess we’re all just a bunch of entitled people. So after I failed,,,I had to take training the next day based on all the stuff I didn’t get asked on the first exam. The next day I retook it and the examiner cut it 15 mins short cause it was clear I was good. Sort of odd isn’t it?
Examiner: what’s the lowest visibility an FO can take off?
Me: 1800rvr
Examiner: explain
Me: at 1600rvr or 1/4 mile the captain has to do it.
Examiner: ok. Well what if the rvr was 1605 or 1610?
Me: well that’s not reported so I wouldn’t know if it was that.
Examiner: I didn’t ask what was reported. I asked what’s the lowest you can take off

Questions like that seem like a totally legit reason to bust someone….
Though you are correct about it not being reported, IMO that came off as kind of like a smart as* response. Now if you were being light hearted, you could have said that answer and then stated but technically I guess I could take off in your scenario. I like to make the oral exam as easy going as possible but that's just me.
