I went to the Atlas website to apply and noticed that, along with the widebody jobs, there was a listing for B737 for Southern Air. I've just started considering ACMI and while I know that Southern and Atlas are one in the same (?) what is the 737 job like versus the widebodies? Is schedule/QOL vastly different from the widebodies ( Accounting for the fact that they obviously aren't doing the same routes/flying).
One thing that kept me from considering ACMI was the long times away from home, but I figure the 737 wouldn't have the same type of schedules as the WB. Again, totally guessing here, would appreciate any insight.
The 737 listings are for lower time pilots. If you meet all the requirements for the widebody position apply to that one. If you’re interviewed, they will ask you to rank your preference of aircraft type. You can request 737 at that time if you so choose.
