VTO's are a joke. I had the #3 VTO line several months back. Requested AM O&B's, weekends off. -This was when there were a lot more trips in open time - I got PM O&Bs (a lovely four leg trip) two which covered saturdays. The guy with VTO#28 got AM O&Bs, and didn't fly one weekend!!! I called my ACP and he said it was up to the scheduling people. I called skeds and talked to the supervisor which I was informed that VTOs are preferences not necessarily what you're going to get. I told them of the guy who got exactly what i wanted who was far below in VTO #s. Then I was told it was done via a computer system and nothing could be done.
