Supposedly AAG (Envoy) is working on securing more 170s. As I understand, according to AA’s scope, a 170 is a small RJ and can replace a 145. But there were only 191 made and Republic already flies a third of them, though I think most are for United. Supposedly the 13 AeroMexico had were trash. It looks like Envoy may have ended up with one. Bottom line there just aren’t many available and they aren’t building more. I’m sure there is no monetary reason why Embraer won’t build more, but AAG hasn’t yet come up with that incentive.

Keep in mind PDT also has about 60 145s as well.
