By global optimization, not sub system optimization, consolidation reduces overall cost in the long term, even though there is extra cost in the short term. If you think beyond this quarter or this year, you would see this.
you’re dealing with a company that knows to the penny the break even point on carrying their inflight magazine, and make no bones about removing them all once they stop generating a profit. Their short game is their long game.
they’ve already moved 1 of the 2 E145 sims out of their bought and paid for buildings. The second will be going too. They aren’t divesting themselves of the sims if their plan is to continue being a 145 operator. PDT will vanish. PSA & ENY will be consolidated.
