You need to look at some of the top bidder/check airmen on the JFK Capt awards. Carr, Applebauch, Kellums, etc, often do a lot of SJU and DEN day trips that all go to OE/IOE. Just look for yourself. That adds up to a lot of productivity. Yes, there are some check airmen that slug along in the lower 50%, but there are a lot in the top 20% also. Again, look for yourself over the last 6 months.

The majority of OE trips should be upstate turns. More t/o and lnds than sitting watching clouds go by on the way to SJU. At least ONE overwater, but mostly quick turns to get the most repetitions
