Those vaccinated can of course still catch it (why wouldn't you catch it? the vaccine doesn't prevent you breathing in). But the chances of being hospitalized with serious illness go waaaaay down. The ultra rare blood clot is a known (again, extremely rare) issue of the JJ shot. Pfizer's regular use approval and soon Moderna's are far better IMO because they offer better efficacy. I don't even know why people are taking the JJ jab. If you are going to do it, may as well take Pfizer or Moderna.
You won't get vaccinated. Not until your job is on the line. And then even the most staunchly pigheaded pilots will roll up the sleeves because they won't pi$$ away a quarter million+ dollar career.
Again, fantastic medical advice from a trusted medical professional. Like I said, you’ve convinced me. I’ll go get the shot tomorrow. Might even start a drive to sign some kids up to serve as test subjects so we can get that approved as quickly as we can. It’s all very logical!
Not sure about the “quarter million+ dollar career” figure but I’d rather be pig-headed than an airhead…
