What about the other side of the coin - aircraft retirements? Do the NW guys lose 10 numbers with each DC-9 that gets parked and will DAL pilots lose 10 mumbers for every '88 that gets parked?
That is another good point and could be easily administered as part of the seniority plan. What about new AC deliveries? Firm orders on the books raise the seniority of the pilots of their pre-merger airline. Options and future growth don't impact the list.
