I have two CJO's, Envoy & Skywest. And yes I know the contracts for both airlines and have insiders to talk to for both companies. Orientation class date is on Dec 15th with Envoy and I have a 175 class with SKW on Jan 15th. I'm thinking with the American network it would be easier to commute out of TPA. I understand that I may have to wait to get a shot in two-three years when bidding for CA as cadets will probably suck up all the 175s in class. Moving away from Tampa isn't an option, wish it were. I would go to Envoy, you’re going to be commuting either way, might as well have better flight bennies, and the flow as a backup like you said. I’d almost shoot for ORD, I’ve heard TPA-MIA can be a nightmare of a commute.
We also send an awful lot of pilots to Spirit.
