If you have 4 4 days you already have 14-15 days off, not 12-13. It has always been like this. 4 day trips have had either an early start or a late finish. During COVID commutability did increase because most of the early departure banks in the hubs were eliminated, however trips were less efficient as a whole.

If you want commutability, bid for 5 day trips.
