Straight staple wouldn't work. A straight staple would essentially put an end to new hires at AA, when we really need to hire 2000+. No one would come here if they had an option if, all of a sudden, there were 5000 pilots added to the list.

After the staple, if you were a military guy or an experienced regional pilot, why come to AA to fly an RJ for 5 more years and then when you finally do move up to a 737, you sit reserve for the next 15 years?
