I lug around a company issue Dell Latitude. I also have a couple of extra batteries for when I am traveling for the day and don't want to worry about looking for somewhere to plug in.

We're still running XP on ours and it has internal wireless to pick up on "hot spots" (or whatever they are called).

I've not had any significant problems with it and it takes a pretty good beating.
