Bashing of other aircraft is always good fun. Having flown most of them, they all have their reasons to be bashed.

There’s just too much hiring for that. Disclaimer: Each NH is obligated to look at the playing field, numbers, and do their own research.
It's all a crapshoot. They were hiring 100+/month when I was hired and one of the reasons I chose the 73N was because I was sure my seniority would rise crazy fast over the other planes. As it turned out, I stagnated over the next few years as they put almost everyone on 7ER/320/717. I passed on the 7ER because I figured I would have stagnated on it, yet I would have actually enjoyed about 15-20% better seniority on it. Bottom line, it's a little bit of guesswork and a lot of luck. If I were a newhire, I'd probably go to the bus...makes for easier transitions down the road.
*Unless you're staying in NYC, then your seniority will likely explode in anything you pick.

You can make way more as a line holder doing green slips but you really have to do a lot of flying you can makes in my opinion a little bit less on reserve doing Greenslip’s if you’re not rolling thunder but you usually don’t have to work anywhere near as hard.
Agreed. Even with the lowered trigger, it's still A LOT of work to fly a full line AND fly GS on top of that. Borrowing from the bank and vacation/training can help but that only goes so far, and in the case of the bank, you'll have to pay it back eventually. Plus, I've only had a month or two where I've flown enough credit to pay back the bank in years...that's a lot of work.
