I got rid of my platinum Amex when I stopped commuting in 2019. The Centurion lounge wouldn’t let you in with a standby boarding pass. You needed an assigned seat. The SkyClub would let you in with a standby pass. I know of folks who did what you mention above, but I never did. I seem to remember reading something recently saying this was specifically not allowed. If you want to know the real policy either read the fine print of your particular card or ask the door guard in the club. I wouldn’t go off the advice of “One Captain”. I think there are only a few things you can get the boot for. Lying and stealing are two of those. So, on your go home day, with a PS boarding pass in your hand, probably okay. With a standby pass you have no intention of using, probably not okay.
