Using the club after the flight in and before the flight home is fair game.

Creating a ghost listing for club access is coloring outside of the lines. The exact scenario you described was previously highlighted in NYC as not acceptable. Your safest approach would be using a Priority Pass lounge, not a Sky Club. While you're at it, you can save on crashpad costs by booking round trip transcons from/to work on flights with open Delta One seats. If you are qualified on an airplane with a crew bunk, you can JS and occupy the bunk during cruise. Stay tuned for more ideas on turning pennies into copper wire.
