It's my understanding a higher GPA will give your app a higher score. That score is derived from a lot of things like hours, education, school, volunteer work, internships, career fair interviews, recommendations, typos, etc. If everything else is strong on your app, a higher GPA might not matter.

Certain things also trigger an app pull for scoring (a good thing!). Updating your GPA to a higher score might very well be one of those triggers!
