Yes, there's two things at play here... The company/FAA rules in the FOM (1000 hours, etc.) and what the UPA stipulates (500 hours/off probation). I'm not sure whether the system takes the UPA parameters into account or not. Surely a strange discussion either way.
it does by only crediting you up to 500 hours In the self certify form.
you can come in with 1000 SIC and they credit you 500. So you need 500 more to be included in the captain bids.
