United is growing the LAX 737 base to the second largest 737 base after EWR for next summer. In turn, they are reducing the regional flying in the base substantially, mainly on the CRJ. By summer, it’s going to have cratered quite a bit.
Regional lift is shrinking. Could have nothing to do with removing crj’s from lax as much as an increased ability to put 737’s there.
