For example: I got NYC73NB (NYC 737 FO) out of indoc in January 2020. We had an AE close on January 31st and I was awarded ATL73NB. I finished sim training in late February and OE by mid-March. I was scheduled to convert from NYC to ATL on April first. (Insert COVID & industry meltdown here.). So one full month of the NYC commute is probably your reasonable best case scenario.
I was awarded ATL73NB on this last AE before I was even out of sims, but all of the base changes (except 220) were listed at the 210 day max on the conversion letter. The award can happen pretty quickly after your date of hire with an AE about every quarter, but the conversion has a healthy YMMV component.
