Is there anyway to check the average age of pilots in a base? Obviously that changes, but would give you a rough idea what a base will look like xx years down the road. Will ATL be trending junior as ex-AIr Tran guys come up on retirement? Will Denver captain become way senior like United was for a long time as guys sit there for 20+ years? Etc, etc. Any way to roughly predict the future look of bases - outside of PHX and MCO which would seem to be perpetually senior as the old folks prep for their life post-SWA.
I don't think it will. I would guess MCO both seats, top 30% average age 60. So do think that in 10 years, with all the geezers gone, it will become that much easier to be senior in MCO, or will a whole new flock of grey guys winterbird to MCO, and take those top spots?
