Not that many deadheads so once you get a line it’s about the same amount of hours, just more work. Reserve MAY not have quite as much flying on the 145 as the 175 in DFW. Flying in ORD on the 145 doesn’t have near as many short legs as DFW.

Don't get me wrong, the 175 is a better deal, but 145 isn’t the end of the world and more junior to upgrade.
