Crunching the career earnings numbers between F9 and SWA - SWA still comes out ahead in numbers alone in spite of the massive projected growth at F9 and 2 yr upgrade. They also have great flexibility and many of the same domiciles as SWA.
My point in bringing this up, is the current gripes are valid - but there’s plenty of places out there which are less than desirable.
In comparing UA, AA, or DL with SWA - it’s clearly dependent on what the priority is of the interested pilot.
