I waited around for the FY 08 VSP announcement and was disappointed as an 11M to not be eligible. I'm still getting out... most likely. I should get orders this Summer for a Fall assignment.
Anyone remember when the VSP announcement was made last year? I'm thinking about asking my commander to ask my assignment manager to hold off for one more cycle to see if VSP is for me this year.

Just be careful not to show your cards unless you've really decided that you are getting out. My base had some issues with school slots being pulled and some other baffonery when leadership found out some of the "shooting stars" were planning on punching.
