Back in late 2016-2017 Envoy had classes of 40-60ishh people every two weeks. At the time they wanted to get people on the hook even if it meant waiting it out at home for 2-3 months before you came back for training. Based on this, I would assume the latter.
Also, looking at attrition numbers they hired 45 but had 50 leave due to flow/OAL.
the capacity was there in 17 to train a bunch of folks. Based on the guy who interviewed in SEP, CJO one month later, hire 15 dec, and start training January or February seems like they are throttling or being very selective with candidates.
but as mentioned, hiring/training is nowhere keeping up with attrition. Something has to give. Either guys getting hired now are at the leading edge of a hiring spree like in 16 or last to catch a ride on a sinking ship due to lack of staffing. You can never tell about these things…
are they giving new hire bonuses now?
either way, I’d love to have pay with 3 months off to travel the AA system, nice perk that does have value.
