FLOAT bought the PenAir (NLA) operating certificate back in July 2020 when the also bought the Corvus(7H) certificate and six DASH-8-100's as part of the original Ravn Alaska bankruptcy. At that time no one bought the Saab 2000's. FLOAT resurrected Ravn Alaska under the Corvus(7H) certificate and has added one DASH-8-300 to specifically serve Dutch.
Kent Craford, President of Alaska Seaplanes, plans to start a company called Aleutian Airways operating under Sterling Airways(VC) certificate and use the ex-PenAir Saab 2000's. Sterling Airways is a 121 operation headquarter in Jacksonville, Florida which operated Embraer E145's and used be known as Via Airways.
