By the way, I have personally been approved in the past but that was a long time ago. At this point, I would never fly outside bc they risk of incident/accident/violation is to great to jeopardize this job.
Wouldn’t they just come back and say “well fly more hours for more pay for us…?”

They’re not restricting you from using your skills, just restricting you from using those skills to make someone else a profit. Can’t imagine working a side hustle CFI gig would pay more that picking up a turn..
