I would bet that UPS and FedEx are bankrolling this somehow. Testing it at AMF. FedEx spent tons of money to convert old 3 man DC10s into old 2 man MD10s. They are looking to eliminate another high paid pilot from the flight deck and AMF is the testbed.
UPS gave them a ton of money years ago to out fit the entire fleet with GPS and ADSB. The ADSB made it in but the rest of it disappeared. So I hope they have better agreements this time if so.
