That is probably going to be the case for quite a while (other than the mega class at the end of his year, maybe due to it's size it'll spread some more spots out). The 717 is an outlier since it is not based in NYC and they need every possible fleet available to train new hires, so you'll always see some DTW and/or ATL 717 in the mix. NYC is junior for a reason - most people don't want to be based there. Thus, the vast majority of the new hires that they have been slamming in to NYC over the past few months will all bail to other bases on the next AE. That will simultaneously get those other bases up to a more normal (ish) staffing level while at the same time draining the NYC talent pool. Thus even more new hires get pumped into NYC, until they too can bid out. Sense a pattern?
