He doesn’t have to dig, he just has to check his schedule after block in before release….if assigned rest, it will be there.
And that is my point. If you are assigned rest, you will have an iCrew pop-up that tells you.
The bigger issue has been when the Company puts rest on your schedule but doesn't notify you by phone and it occurs after you are required to check your schedule. Can't just slip it on the sked and not tell the pilot.
