The bigger issue has been when the Company puts rest on your schedule but doesn't notify you by phone and it occurs after you are required to check your schedule. Can't just slip it on the sked and not tell the pilot.
this is exactly what happened to me this past summer. When i was tasked, i told them i didn't have adequate rest, was unfit for duty, and i was paid no problem after it was looked at. Note i was on duty for 9 days straight.
