Background: 9 yrs 121, two types(EMB145, ATR42) all the usual times, 36yrs old, but just an Associates degree ( just enrolled to finish my Bacholers). Should I get a type in one of your aircraft? I just feel like time is slipping away.
Thanks,

I'm relatively new @ World so perhaps jonnyjetprop can correct me if I'm wrong. I wouldn't concern yourself with getting a type rating. Besides, you don't know which airplane they would offer. Do you have any connections whatsoever with anyone @ World? Even if you know somebody that knows somebody would help. That said, there were 2 guys with regional airline backgrounds in my interview group with no internal recommendations.

Also, instead of faxing, I would mail a resume addressed to the Chief Pilot or Assistant Chief Pilot every month or two.
