Contract private jet flying at $450/day, trip starts at 11pm on day one, and gets back at 1am two days later = $1350 At NetJets, if scheduling doesn’t get you back to your base airport by midnight…. (And I mean that they look at the official block in of the flight you ride home), if it’s 12:01 am into your day off, you get paid another day at time and a half.
Not only that, but if you’re on reserve they can fly you something like 4 hours into your day off with zero penalty.

As pilots, there's only two commodities that we have to offer. Our skills. And our time.
It's a shame that so many are willing to give away the second one so freely.
