Maybe folks are burnt the eff out and are choosing family over company. I wish I did as I sit here in a hotel for the next 3 days with a $10 thank you from my company.

A positive COVID test triggers a 10 day quarantine, the CEO's are trying to get that reduced like Spain and the UK have done. I assume the crewmember would need test results. I'm sure the "Christmas Flu" is the cause of some of the sick calls. Smart airlines would do like NetJets has done for a long time, working a holiday triggers an "extended day" pay. In my case as a 12yr Captain that was over $1000. They had no staffing problems on holidays.
