First year pay is 24.34 an hr. if you have 80 hrs a month...thats only 1947.20$ before taxes or any other deductions. Plus you can expect about 500$ a month in per diem. so after taxes you may bring home about 1400 plus per diem of about 500ish. Not to be a stickler but 2000 is about the max you will bring home as a first year guy, especially with family insurance.
well after I read what you wrote, I do not want to be misleading anyone so I went on Jetnet to look at every single pay statement my first year.
Excluding training, each first check of the month was inbetween 600 and 650 as I mentioned above. I had only one month below that 600 number and it was 570. The 2nd paycheck of the month was on an average
1500 a month. I had 2 checks that were 1100 and 1200 in my first few months on reserve, and after that several for 1600, two for 1800, and one for 2000. All of those numbers are AFTER deductions and include per diem. Those numbers also include other deductions from non-rev travel and uniform deductions.
So the numbers I gave above off the top of my head ARE accurate. All of my lines were 80 to 88 hours blocked and I never picked up open time that I can rememeber. I can think of a few re-assignments, and I have no idea what pay rate they assigned me for those.
