If you have read about the business model new planes are not part of it. They buy 5-8 year old airframes. Management has said some of these planes are on the market for as low as 10-12 million bucks. There are hundreds if not thousands of distressed 737-800 outside of America with COVID still messing around.. some of the latest planes we have gotten have been 3 year old -800’s from Norwegian. Also Apollo is no long the majority shareholder. They are diluting their equity and cashing out. Apollo generally tries to double their investments in 4-5 years and moves on.
