If you sit higher than 65% on the gline it will be very tough to get a line more than 15 days off when the line credit average is 85 hours or higher. In my experience when being lower than 60-65% it became much easier to get less credit and more days off. The bottom of the seniority list in a BES will generally get hammered with work when the line credit average is 85 hours or greater.
With that said “average credit per day >6 hours” works pretty well but you have to learn how to use it amongst all the other commands in PBS. I used bid nav until it taught me enough about the system to do it on my own then canceled it. I recommend doing the same.
