Big picture, it is absolutely because of the RLA and seniority system. Kills all leverage and the process drags out for YEARS and we have zero career portability. If I’m mgt, I know you’re too senior to leave, too young to retire now, so you’re stuck here, and the NMB process is just starting and can last years. Why would you want to spend your off time dealing with side effects to a vax you probably didnt even want in the first place? Dont hate the playa hate the game etc etc. They should have deadlined the policy to end before the holidays, poor TEM skills
