Ending A PLOA Advice
Was one of the new hire Covid sent home from the training center people. Started a 1 year PLOA once I was called back earlier this year so I’m nearing the end and preparing to come back to Delta soon. Since I never made it into the system I was hoping for some advice.
Currently assigned NBC NYC220B so the way I understand it I can put in for anything I would have been awarded in a previous AE which would be:
7ER
73N
320
220
I live in Buffalo, NY so it’s a pretty easy commute to NYC. That being said, commutability would be priority number 1 and income potential would be number 2. I am really trying to limit nights in a crash pad in NY. I was previously trained on the 320 but I’m hearing those trips are almost never commutable on both ends, even with my short commute and plenty of flights from Buffalo to NYC.
So any advice on what to put in for? Here’s my relative seniority currently in NYC:
7ER - 75%
320 - 57%
73N - 61%
220 - 48%
Are the 7ER trips that much more commutable and would I even be able to get them at 75%?
Would a 18% increase in seniority from the 320 to the ER lead to a better overall QOL?
If I am awarded either the 320 or 7ER would it be likely I would have to double train since I am currently assigned the 220 and I hear training dates are pretty backed up?
Am I missing anything and thank you in advance for any inputs.
