Have you considered DTW? If you are about 50% on the 220 in NYC, you would be about the same on the 717 in DTW. I flew it for about two years and it wasn’t that bad. Additionally, you would only have to cover 1 airport in DTW as opposed to 3 in NYC.
This is important to consider when selecting a fleet. When I was commuting, I could have enjoyed significantly better seniority in NYC but...most of the flights from home were to LGA while my fleet (7ER) was almost exclusively flying out of JFK. That meant nearly every trip would involve a cab ride or two or a SIGNIFICANT decrease in what was considered "commutable". Settled on commuting to DTW for way less heartburn. One airport to cover, reasonable (and RELIABLE!) number of flights and commuter-friendly hotel prices. After a year or two (depending on fleet), the relative seniority gains start to wash out in NYC anyway.
