For me the commute isn’t that bad. I usually get a trip so I am not sitting in a hotel. You get to fly with your favorite captain on the trip. After 11.5 years in the right seat it was good to have a change. Also the pay is great. Everyone has different reasons for upgrade. But for the people touting senior FO schedules, to wait for something similar in the right seat will be a decade. Also that’s why I believe you will see a high bypass rate this year.
Could you talk a little more about the commute? What is junior on the west coast, AMs or PMs? Are you typically able to get out of there on the last day of your reserve block?
